First Impressions: Landing in Belize

The moment we stepped off the plane, we felt the warm Caribbean breeze. This was it - our new home!
First 48 Hours
Day 1: Arrival
- Navigated customs (easier than expected!)
- Met our local contact who helped us get settled
- First meal: Amazing rice and beans with stew chicken
- Jet lag? What jet lag? The excitement kept us going!
Day 2: Exploration
- Found the local market (fresh fruit for pennies!)
- Visited our new neighborhood
- Met friendly neighbors who welcomed us warmly
- Sunset on the beach (life-changing)
Culture Shock (The Good Kind)
Everyone here moves at a different pace. “Island time” is real, and we’re learning to embrace it. The stress of deadlines and traffic jams already feels like a distant memory.
